Manufacturing Consent
We have no way of differentiating a reliable source from a faulty one in this era. The media portrays coverage in so many different way that we have no way f knowing which to believe. The main source of information we are turn to is written by manipulative human beings such as ourselves who have the will to lean a topic towards their own opinion versus keeping the purest source out for display. Chomsky has acknowledged this issue and referred to it a a manufactured consent. The media has been leading are lives through depictions they create or they feel would be a necessary topic and rather than question authority we just mosey along and believe every word. We would believe everything that comes out of an acquaintances mouth so why believe all media coverage? They are no different from you and I. The media is entitled to an opinion just as we are and this will be the foundation of their coverage of informal and instead of acknowledging this we just give them our consent to listen.

The Ethics of Digital Manipulation
Since the creation of photography people have seen it as the
purest way to capture the essence of nature.
Although it can be an accurate representation of the surrounding view it
can also easily be altered. Many people weren’t aware of the idea of Photoshop
at the time however, there were exceptions. People have manipulated photos
since photography was invented and it proves that the innocence of photographs aren’t
so innocent. Artist use Photoshop as a tool to create, enhance or manipulate images
to create a visual pleasure to the eye. Whether it is reality or art they’re
trying to achieve all depends on the amount of work the put in to alter the
picture. Now although they might not put any work in to altering the image this
does not mean it is still a pure representation of what they were trying to
capture. A photo lenses can never truly capture the essence of nature. Neither can
the human eye, the image we see is manipulated through the capabilities of what
we posses within our eyes, and if our eyes aren’t even capable of see the true
essence how can a lenses capture it. The credibility of photography is only
justifiable by the viewers themselves.
